MISSION SUMMARY
Newly formed quintuple of CAIN Executioners deployed northbound from Tucson, AZ to Seattle, WA via passenger rail during inclement weather. En route, an unidentified courier delivered their encoded briefing materials.
Primary target: Anomalous activity centered in “The Marrow” High-Rise, Belltown District.
Missing person: Emilia Mulder.
Husband: Viktor Mulder, staying off-site at a nearby hotel.
Suspected anomaly category: OGRE — CAT II, designation “A SOW THAT NEVER WAS.”
OPERATION REPORT (Chronological Reconstruction)
I. INITIAL CONTACT — VIKTOR MULDER
Location: Hotel ████████, Downtown Seattle.
The Executioners approached Viktor Mulder, who displayed:

- Revealed they recently traveled together on a “business trip”
- Provided office keys in a panic and fled via cab
Inside the office, Vivienne successfully lockpicked a secured cabinet.

III. FIRE STATION #211 — FIRST RESPONDER CONTACT

V. RETURN TO VIKTOR — KEYCARD ACQUISITION
The Marrow required:
- Elevator keycard (known to be in Viktor’s possession)
- Secondary access key
The team returned to Viktor’s hotel room.
Dan forcibly kicked open the door, the doorknob striking Viktor unconscious on impact.
The team ransacked the room, retrieving:
- Building access keycard
- Viktor’s keys & wallet
- A file containing Emilia Mulder’s medical documents
They took temporary shelter beneath a closed restaurant’s outdoor seating (heavy rain ongoing).
There they discovered:
- Reference to Dr. Jason Kennedy, Emilia’s obstetrician
Too late to pursue that night.
Team procured instant ramen at a nearby 7/11.
They slept behind the dumpster (Nelson’s recommendation).
VI. MEDICAL INQUIRY — DR. JASON KENNEDY
Next morning:
Vivienne and Lilith visited the Women’s & Children’s Medical Center.
Vivienne posed as a concerned friend; Dr. Kennedy accepted as a walk-in consult.
From him they secured:
- Emilia’s 7th-month ultrasound
- Confirmation that Emilia lacked recent appointments
This provided final emotional/psychological context for the OGRE anomaly.
VII. THE MARROW — ENTRY AND HOSTILE CONTACT
Using Viktor’s keycard, the Executioners ascended to Floor 50, finding the interior replaced by the palace manifestation of A SOW THAT NEVER WAS.
A. Palace Entrance
A long, fleshy corridor — dark red, pulsing, with viscous blood-like material coating the walls — led to large black double doors.
B. TRACE COMBAT — FIRST ENGAGEMENT
Three Traces emerged:
- Piglet-sized, bipedal, umbilical cords ending in weighted stones.
Combat Summary:- Vivienne neutralized one with thrown knives.
- Nelson fought another hand-to-hand atop its body, sustaining wounds but killing it.
- Dan (brass knuckles) and Lilith (M-25 “Sparrow”) finished the last.
C. MINI-BOSS: “PIGPENT”
Team encountered PIGPENT, second-stage anomaly.
Weapon attacks proved ineffective.
Nelson attempted to blast PIGPENT through a wall opening.
Result: Catastrophic overuse of power caused the entire penthouse to explode outward, sending all combatants into freefall.
Lilith used her ability to slow the fall of the team, but PIGPENT plummeted uncontrolled and impacted somewhere in the fog below.
Immediately afterward, the palace reset reality, returning the team to the elevator.
VIII. FINAL BATTLE — “A SOW THAT NEVER WAS”
Re-entering the now structurally destroyed penthouse (barely anything remaining but a fridge), the true OGRE manifested.
Description preserved:
- Large grotesque pig-like creature
- Physiology similar to PIGPENT/Traces
- Emilia Mulder unconscious and fused at the spine
- The team successfully answered all three Trauma Questions during combat
Combat Notes:
- Lilith was seized and swallowed whole
- Vivienne performed a precision knife strike, slicing the abdomen open and killing the OGRE
- OGRE destabilized and dissipated, releasing the palace structure
After dissolution, Emilia Mulder lay dead on the floor, bottle of pills in hand.
Conclusion:
- Emilia miscarried
- Emotional collapse generated the OGRE
- Suicide provided host substrate for anomaly
The Executioners documented scene, gathered evidence, and left for exfil.
IX. EXFILTRATION & HANDLER INCIDENT
The team rendezvoused with Handler Silas at King Street Station (North Entrance) using the identification phrase “The air feels cleaner up north.”
Silas confirmed extraction orders and received their debrief:
- Anomaly: Neutralized
- Civilian casualties: Emilia Mulder, Fetus, Andrew Uhaul
- None caused by Executioner action
Silas expressed approval.
At this point Nelson ████████ inexplicably stood, unzipped, and urinated onto Silas’s lap.
Motivation unknown. No anomaly influence detected.
Silas immediately vaporized Nelson, reducing him to particulate matter.
He recorded in his internal notes that Nelson “died during the operation,” excused himself to change clothes, and ended the meeting.
Other team members expressed shock and apologized repeatedly.
Oversight reviewed the incident and filed a recommendation for disciplinary action against Silas.
His Watchsite Commander ignored the recommendation.
