EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

During the recuperation phase of the primary mission, a three-man element of Executioner Team Noatmos (Orr, Hakuba, Bell) conducted a side operation to re-engage the secondary anomaly designated “TWIN.” The operation devolved into a series of procedural failures and a chance encounter with a new, hostile entity. After a chaotic engagement in a wooded area outside the city, the team successfully terminated the new anomaly, designated TMID-997 “DOG.” The “TWIN” remains at large. The team returned to base with a biological trophy but no progress on the primary objective.

NARRATIVE CHRONOLOGY

1. Unauthorized Insertion & Breach
Acting on unverified civilian reports of “Mysterious Sightings,” Executioners Dale, Sakuma, and Paco proceeded to the Mandarin Dragon Imports lot without authorization or the full team. Denied entry, Executioner Orr used his axe to breach the perimeter fencing, compromising site security.

A night guard was alerted. The ensuing neutralization was unprofessional: Executioner Bell’s startled physical reaction (a loud, wet fart) provided an olfactory distraction, which was compounded by a poorly controlled BLAST from Hakuba that dispersed the scent. Orr ultimately rendered the guard unconscious with a blunt weapon strike.

2. Sewer Exploration & Contact with “TWIN”
The team entered the sewer system via the drainage tunnel, locating the previous site of the “TWIN’s” activity (remains of a fire, discarded shoes). Upon reaching a three-way tunnel junction, they split up against standard procedure, with only Hakuba possessing a light source.

All three reported auditory and visual disturbances. Orr reported a bloody deer skull appearing inches from his face to “shush” him before extinguishing his SABRE. The team regrouped hastily.

3. Failed Engagement & New Contact
Executioner Bell used his MIMIC ability to create a decoy of Orr to re-probe a tunnel. The, at the time, unidentified entity responded with extreme prejudice, instantly decapitating the decoy and bathing the team in gore. The team immediately retreated.

Their exit led them to an unfamiliar forested area on the city’s outskirts. Hakuba attempted to mimic the anomaly’s call. This successfully summoned the new, aggressive entity.

4. Engagement and Termination of TMID-997 “DOG”
The entity, now designated TMID-997 “DOG,” manifested as an emaciated, red-fleshed humanoid with a permanent rictus grin and a deer skull fused over its face. It immediately assaulted Orr, pinning him to a rock face. Hakuba severed one of its limbs with a SEVERANCE slash, forcing it to disengage and begin a harassing attack using thrown debris.

Orr then utilized his VOID ability to create and immediately collapse a localized spatial anomaly. The resulting concussive thunderclap dazed all parties, including the team, but successfully stunned the DOG. Bell followed with a focused BLAST, excavating a significant portion of its torso. As it attempted to flee, Hakuba delivered a final, overpowered SEVERANCE slash that bisected the entity vertically.

5. Exfiltration
The team retrieved the entity’s deer skull as proof of termination, cleaned themselves of biological contaminants, and returned to the temporary safe house (“The Hourly Haven”) to rejoin the main team.

OPERATIONAL ASSESSMENT

Tactical Outcome: Successful termination of a newly identified Class-Hostile entity (TMID-997 “DOG”). Minimal friendly injuries sustained.

Strategic & Procedural Failures:

  • Unauthorized Action: The side operation was not cleared and diverted resources from the primary mission (Li Hua/OGRE containment).
  • Poor Stealth & Security: The team’s entry was loud, physically destructive, and required the assault of a civilian guard.
  • Ineffective Primary Pursuit: The stated goal of re-engaging the “TWIN” failed. The entity remains active.
  • Reckless Engagement: Splitting the team in a dark, confined space against an unknown anomaly is a critical failure of protocol. Attracting unknown entities via mimicry in an uncontrolled environment was unnecessarily hazardous.

Personnel Notes:

  • Sakuma Hakuba: Effective in direct combat, but poor judgment in leading an unsanctioned op and mimicking anomaly calls. Demonstrated significant power output but concerning lack of restraint.
  • Dale Orr: Instrumental in brute-force entry and the tactical takedown of TMID-997. However, initiated the unauthorized breach.
  • Paco Bell: Contribution was minimal and punctuated by panic. The decoy tactic, while clever, ultimately revealed the team’s location without yielding intelligence.

KEY INTELLIGENCE UPDATES

  • New Anomaly Catalogued: TMID-997 “DOG” – Terminated. Behavior suggests a territorial and predator entity. Trophy secured for study.
  • “TWIN” Status: CONFIRMED HOSTILE, AT LARGE. Engagement is not recommended without full team.
  • Primary Target (Li Hua/OGRE): No progress made.

RECOMMENDATIONS

  1. Formal Reprimand: Executioners Orr, Hakuba, and Bell are to be formally censured for conducting an unsanctioned operation, compromising security, and failing to prioritize the primary objective.
  2. Trophy Analysis: The deer skull recovered from TMID-997 is to be collected for immediate analysis by the Anomaly Research Division.
  3. Focus Enforcement: Handler is to reiterate in the strongest terms that all activities must be focused on the containment of SUBJECT LI HUA/OGRE. Drifter hunts are a distraction and a resource drain.
